News & Events
This spring we had a booth at the Rotary Home Show with over 5,000 visitors attending. Several new members joined as a result, and we have potential partners and sponsors as a result. After clearing more than #28 downed trees from high winds this winter/early spring our trails are riding nicely and with a little more sprucing up will be 100%- we hope you can join us for at least one of the two planned trail workdays (Saturdays May 18 & June 1 from 8:30-12 as well as some group rides. We have several planned improvements including some rockwork and reroutes on our trails using our new tools trailer now located at Hard’ack. Note that we helped connect a new Hard’ack parking lot by the Water Tower on Congress Street to the trails. A group of some 25 Viatris/Mylan employees helped cleaning up trails at both Hard’ack and Town Forest one week ago on a company volunteer day. Also, we have some very big news about trails in FC- be sure to come to the ride followed by an FCTA Chamber/Young Professionals Mixer at Hard’ack Lodge Thursday June 20th 5-7pm.
We are looking for a group organizer for the weekly Women’s FCTA ride. Meghan Rowley did a phenomenal job last year and they had a great time but is having an increased work role, so she can’t continue as our lead. Last year the group rotated their rides around, and made it a fun social time together. Perhaps two people could share organizing the Women’s ride group? Let us know if you are interested in helping out. The club can provide organization and social media support
